Bandai Namco and From Software shocked the world (sort of) when it confirmed that Dark Souls: Remastered would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. While it’s also heading to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC, the announcement coming in Nintendo’s Mini Direct sent a clear message regarding Bandai Namco’s support for the Switch.
However, there may be an interesting deal in the works for those who Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on PC. Bandai Namco’s US Store contained a portion in its description about Prepare to Die Edition owners receiving a 50 percent discount. Combined with retailers like Amazon listing the price of Dark Souls: Remastered as $40, that’s not a bad deal.
That being said, that portion of the description was removed from the Bandai Namco Store (Resetera member Hong screencapped it though). It’s possible that the actual announcement was meant to be made when the Steam page for Dark Souls: Remastered goes live. This wouldn’t be the first time Bandai Namco offered such a deal – there was a discount for Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin if you happened to own the base game’s DLC.
Dark Souls: Remastered is out on May 25th for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. Will you be picking it up? Let us know below.
