Bandai Namco’s upcoming Dark Souls Remastered, which, exactly as the name suggests, takes the beloved role playing game and remasters it for the current generation, can now be played on the PS4 and Xbox One, sort of. While the official release is still May 25, the network test for the game is now available to download and play through on both consoles.
The area you get to play through is pretty limited, but it should be enough to get you a taste (or a refresher, if you ever played the original) of what kind of game you can expect when it releases later this month. No network test is available for PC, and while one is planned for Nintendo Switch, it will be available later, on account of the (completely inexplicable) delay for the Switch version of the game.
Dark Souls Remastered will be available on May 25 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and later this year for Nintendo Switch.
