Days Gone, the upcoming open world zombie action adventure game from Sony Bend, is almost here, and ahead of that launch, we now have some idea of what to expect from the map for the game. Open worlds often live and die by their maps—it needs to be big, and varied, and the content needs to be spaced out properly (it can’t be too dense or too sparse), so this is obviously an important enough metric of consideration.
GameReactor has shared four images showing us the map, to give us an idea of its range and scope, as well as the different kinds of missions you can encounter in it. It seems as though the map will be divided into multiple sectors (which is fairly common for open world games—The Witcher 3 and Breath of the Wild both did this too), and these images give us a look at what those sectors are like. Each sector looks fairly substantially massive, and it seems like the final map won’t disappoint in terms of size or variety.
