Death Stranding Director Teases New Trailer “In a Month or So”

Hideo Kojima also remains reluctant to comment on a PC version of the game.

Death Stranding has remained an enigma for as long as we have known of its existence. Even with every new trailer Hideo Kojima has deemed appropriate to show off, we’ve learned very little of actual significance about the game- but over the past year, we haven’t even had any more of those vague trailers to dive into.

That could be about to change, though. Speaking at the Tribeca Film Festival (via Dailydot’s Michelle Kaworski on Twitter), Kojima apologized for not having said or shown much of his upcoming game at the Tribeca panel itself, before saying that he will be (“maybe”) revealing more in about a month or so- which could mean any number of things, but we’re hoping it’s a trailer.

Additionally, Kojima was also asked about a PC version of the game. When Death Stranding was first revealed, it was said that the game would be out on PS4 and PC, but over time, mentions of a PC version have all but vanished, leaving many to wonder if it’s even going to happen at this point. When asked about the same, Kojima didn’t really give much of an answer- so just keep on wondering for now, I guess.

At the same panel, Kojima also spoke about Death Stranding’s open world nature and its theme of “reconnecting”. Read more about that here. The game is currently without release date, but recent speculation suggests that it will also see a cross-generation release on the PS5.
