Death Stranding Features A Cameo From Conan O’Brien

He gives you a sea otter suit. No, seriously.

The upcoming Death Stranding boasts of a star studded cast, with the likes of Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, Lindsay Wagner, and more as main characters. But it’s got plenty of cameos from other celebrities as well, playing more minor roles as easter eggs of sorts.

One such celebrity who has a cameo in Death Stranding is the comedian and television host Conan O’Brien. Hideo Kojima recently took to Twitter to reveal the same, confirming that Conan appears as a prepper in the game called The Wandering MC. Once you connect with him, he gives you a “Sea Otter Suit”, which, other than looking very silly, also allows you to swim in rivers easily, and prevents you from getting swept away by the current. The main takeaway here, though, is that you’ll have an otter helmet on your head in this grim, terrifying post-apocalypse, which is not surprising for a Hideo Kojima game.

Death Stranding is out on November 8, but reviews for the game will start going live a week before that, on November 1. A launch trailer for the game is primed and ready, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, watch the game’s latest Japanese trailer through here.
