Hideo Kojima, the man behind Metal Gear Solid and the upcoming Death Stranding, recently took to Twitter and explained in some detail his process of game development, talking about several different things, such as writing, game design, and more.
He started by explaining that while things like writing and “making specs” are done at his desk, other things such as direction and game design are done on sight. He also went on to say that he keeps on eye on several component of games he’s working on, such as “the models, background, lightings, movements, camera, sound, effects”.
“I make orders where to fix, solve problems with ideas for better results,” he continued. “There’s no doubt or waste.” He finished by saying that last week, he was busy working on Death Stranding’s game design, and that he is now going to go back to focus on “scenario development.”
