Hideo Kojima continues to tease his fans in the most cryptic ways, and the fans continue to critically analyse it all. So let’s not stop, yeah? The mastermind behind the upcoming Death Stranding posted a tweet on his official Twitter not so long ago, and it might be indicating the inclusion of a female lead, concurrent with Norman Reedus’ character, in the upcoming game.
The tweet shows artwork of Kojima Productions’ mascot Ludens, but in slightly different form- it seems to be female, with her helmet off. If this were anyone else, we probably wouldn’t even look twice at the tweet, but Kojima has been known to foreshadow and hint at future announcements in the most bizarre and subtle ways, so we’re pretty confident that there’s some meaning to this.
After all, there have been reports in the past that Kojima might bring in actress Emma Stone to play some role in the game, which would certainly fit with its star studded cast (joining Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and Guillermo Del Toro). Alternatively, there have also been reports that Stefani Joosten, who played Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, could play some role in Death Stranding.
Death Stranding is currently in development for PS4 and PC, but as of now, it remains without an official release date. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued updates on the game.
