The latest game from Hideo Kojima, Death Stranding, was… something. It’s hard game to define, really, and even harder one to breakdown in a plot summary. It is, if nothing else, truly one of a kind, and worth at least trying. The game launched as a PS4 exclusive at the end of last year, and now PC players have their date as well, as well as some goodies to look forward to (you can read more about that through here). There may be some people whose excitement is dampened, however, as a certain infamous anti-piracy tool will also be coming with it.
As confirmed via the game’s fresh Steam page, the PC release will, in fact, be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Presumably, it’ll be the most up-to-date version of the software.
Denuvo is a fairly controversial tool, largely being considered a resource hog, as well as being cracked quickly, resulting in a basically ineffective software. But, either way, it’s become something of an industry standard, and Death Stranding will have it when the game hits PC on June 2nd.
