Death Stranding’s Japanese Trailer Wants Us To Connect

The Japanese trailer splices together various bits of footage from previous trailers and previews.

Right now we’re all waiting for the launch trailer for Death Stranding that Hideo Kojima is hard at work editing that’s sure to be great with a new song that’ll be stuck in your head for days. In the meantime, it seems Sony Japan decided to sneak in a little trailer of their own titled, “Connect.”

You can see the trailer below. The title is in reference to what we know of the story so far, where you play a delivery man trying to connect various stations together against the backdrop of a broken America. There’s no new footage here, at least none that I caught, and is mostly spliced together from previous trailers and previews. Somewhat ironically, I think it actually manages to capture the game in a much better and easy to understand way than all of the previews we’ve gotten so far, at least in how the game plays.

Death Stranding will release exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on November 8th. The review embargo for the game will lift on November 1st, so keep your eyes peeled.
