Demon’s Souls Will Give You A Choice Between 4K Or High Frame Rate Modes

The best of both decaying, dying worlds.

While Dark Souls was the franchise that helped FromSoftware’s ascension as one of the most acclaimed developers working today, and also spawned an entire subgenre of RPG, it all really began with Demon’s Souls. Ironically, the original PS3 title almost never left Japan after lower sales and a mixed reception there, only being brought over thanks to efforts from Atlus. But here we are in 2020, and remake of that title is set to launch alongside Sony’s PS5, and is hotly anticipated, and you can play it two different ways.

The official website for the game has been updated, which you can see through here. At the end, when detailing features, it confirms that the game will have two different modes you can play in: 4K Mode and High Frame Rate Mode. Presumably, 4K Mode will have 30 FPS while aiming for 4K while High Frame Rate Mode will go for 60 FPS with 1080p or 1440p, but it’s not explicitly specified. Either way, you got a choice of how you want to experience, or re-experience for veterans, the game.

Demon’s Souls will release as a PlayStation 5 exclusive at its launch on November 12th. The game will have a Digital Deluxe Edition, which you can read about through here alongside some sharp looking screenshots.
