With less than two weeks to go before Destiny 2’s release, Bungie has been discussing the end-game and what fans can expect. Along with Flashpoints, World Stories and Heroic Public Events, players can expect Nightfalls to return. What’s more, they’ll have locked loadouts, preventing players from changing weapons, and fixed completion timers. This will up the challenge significantly.
However, the question then arose as to whether locked loadouts would be present in the raids. Gameplay lead Justin Truman spoke to PCGamesN and there was apparently a misunderstanding about Hard Mode raids having locked loadouts (which he later noted he wasn’t sure about).
Director Luke Smith thus took to Twitter and clarified once and for all that raids in Destiny 2 won’t have locked loadouts. “We don’t want this; ‘I just got Midnight Coup to drop, let me quit to equip and I’ll rejoin.” Which seems fair enough.
Destiny 2 will launch on September 6th for PS4 and Xbox One with the PC version out on October 24th. The PC beta will begin on August 29th (August 28th for those who pre-order) and ends on August 31st.
