According to Destiny 2 game director Luke Smith on YouTube Live, the game will run at 30 frames per second on the Xbox One X. That’s pretty much the same frame rate it will run at on Xbox One, PS4 and PS4 Pro.
Despite the Xbox One X’s power, Bungie seems to be targeting parity across all platforms instead. Though the PC version of Destiny 2 will have an uncapped frame rate and resolutions up to 4K, the decision to go with 30 FPS on consoles could be so that users on Xbox One X don’t have any kind of advantage in, say, PvP over Xbox One users.
Destiny 2 will have an open beta in July for PS4 and Xbox One with the former getting it on July 18th and the latter on July 19th (for those who pre-order, that is). The beta will end on July 23rd and the PC beta will happen in August. < em>Destiny 2 is out on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4 while the PC version releases on October 24th.
