Blizzard’s found itself at the centre of a major controversy in recent weeks, which means all eyes are going to be on them with the upcoming BlizzCon 2019. But even if one is focusing on just the games, there’s plenty of interesting possibilities about what they may or may not announce.
Of the announcements that most people are hoping for, Diablo 4 is the name that comes up most often, and recent leak is strongly hinting at that. As Gamestar points out, in the newest issue of the magazine, there’s an ad for a Diablo artbook, with the ad stating that the book contains arts from Diablo 1, 2, 3, and 4. The artbook, interestingly enough, releases on November 3, which is the day that BlizzCon 2019 ends, and that timing in particular is quite intriguing.
Given the massive backlash that their announcement of Diablo Immortal last year was met with, and how Blizzard later admitted that they’d tried to bring Diablo 4 to last year’s show, it’s possible that this might be the year where they finally make the big reveal.
Last year, reports also claimed that Diablo 4 had to be rebooted during development, while Blizzard were still, at that time, in the middle of figuring out various important elements of the experience.
