DICE Acknowledges a Fan who Pre-ordered 28 copies of Battlefield 3 to prevent his friends from playing COD

Well funny things can happen in this world. This is one of them. Apparently a gamer has pre-ordered 28 copies of Battlefield 3 so that his friends do not have to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 this year. We know how COD has a mixed reputation with gamers, but this is just insane.

He said this to Johan Andersson who works at DICE, who was obviously shocked at his comment.

I’ve pre ordered 28 copies of BF 3 so all my friends have no excuse to play COD this year end,” he boasted.

To which Anderson exclaimed,” Holy crap, I like it!”

It’s a good to see COD and Battlefield go head-to-head this year. Both franchises have a gigantic fanbase, and it will be interesting to see how much both the games’ sell.

It will be tough for Battlefield 3 to outsell COD but looking at such fanaticism from their fanbase, it will surely take a chunk of the marketshare away from COD.

In another Battlefield 3 related news, if you have a DirectX 11 card then you will be getting tesselation features even on the ‘high’ setting, and it isn’t exclusive to the ‘ultra’ one. This has been confirmed by Andersson.
