Digimon Survive – Characters and Conversations Showcased in New Trailer

In development for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch, the survival tactical RPG series has seen its fair share of delays over the years.

Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Digimon Survive, its upcoming visual novel/survival tactical RPG. It essentially introduces all of the characters with Takuma Momozuka serving as the protagonist along with Agumon. Check it out below, along with some brief footage of conversations and combat.

Digimon Survive has had a fairly long development period. Initially announced in 2018, it’s been delayed three times with the last stated release window being Q3 2022. However, series producer Kazumasa Habu revealed that the release date is still being “adjusted internally.” Some of the delays can seemingly be attributed to the project shifting development teams, which led to lots of reworking as per Habu.

Witchcraft was previously working on the title but according to Bandai Namco Entertainment EU, it’s now HYDE that’s in charge of the project. Digimon Survive is currently in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch, and aims to provide a playtime of 80 to 100 hours for all of its routes.
