Another beta patch has gone live for Dishonored 2 on Steam. Patch 1.2 is much meatier than 1.1 and includes a long list of fixes for some of the more serious issues.
These include a re-working of the visual settings’ auto-detection based on feedback; max pre-rendered frames now being handled by the game (with Arkane advising the removal of any manual customization done in your graphics driver control panel); fixes for the user interface, game logic, alt-tabbing and multiple monitors; and a fix for a bug that caused resolution scaling to be deactivated if the game was running above 40 FPS.
There’s also the addition of TAA Sharpness, a Framerate Limiter, changes to Resolution Scaling to make the settings clearer, Triple Buffering and more options for V-Sync.
It should be noted that the patch is still in beta and not every fix may work out as intended. Regardless, navigate to the game in your Library, right-click, select Properties and find the Betas tab if you want to give it a go.
