Dishonored 2 Update Fixes Mouse Sensitivity, CPU Task Priority on PC

Update currently in beta stage.

Arkane Studios’ Dishonored 2 has had quite the reception since launch. While it was praised for its gameplay and design, the PC version has received its fair share number of complaints regarding performance.

Bethesda and Arkane have been working on these issues with a new update having released and promising some fixes. Update 1.1 is currently in the beta and issues three fixes – improvements for the mouse, especially to fix sensitivity being dependent on one’s frame rate; a fix for AMD cloth physics issues that caused frame rate issues at various points; and a fix for CPU task priority with the game no longer switching between priorities. If you want to try the update out, then head to your Steam library, right-click on the game, choose Properties and select Betas to find the “BetaPatch”. The game will then update.

It’s also recommended that you download the latest Nvidia drivers. AMD users should be using 16.10.2 drivers and “[l]ook for more information from AMD on CrossFire support in the near future.”

“Our work on Dishonored 2 continues. Update 1.2 development is underway and will address a broader range of issues including performance and is estimated to be available in the next week,” according to Bethesda.
