Larian Studios has been busy patching Divinity: Original Sin 2 over the past few days, releasing hotfixes to issues like quick saves becoming corrupted and whatnot. Recently, it issued hotfix to allow for crossplay for Steam and GOG players. Lack of server capacity and a large number of people playing over the weekend resulted in the feature being turned off but after some upgrades, it’s now available again.
The hotfix also helps with crashes that players may be expecting along with a fix to characters having the “Wet” status permanently (which could be detrimental in battles since enemies could use electricity to inflict more damage).
Larian noted that a larger patch would be coming within the next few days and would address many other issues that were reported. Perhaps this means the Journal will update properly and quests will complete normally?
Divinity: Original Sin 2 released on September 14th after a year in Early Access on Steam. Sales are already close to 500,000 units, surpassing the original game which took two to three months to hit the same goal.
