Launching earlier this year and co-developed by Arc System Works, DNF Duel hasn’t exactly been one of the most prominent releases in the fighting genre in recent memory, though there have been updates for the game every now and then that have made gameplay tweaks and made balance changes. More new content is on the horizon, new details for which have been revealed.
For starters, DNF Duel will be getting a new update in December. Dubbed the “Grand Balance Patch”, the update will bring buffs for over a hundred skills, buff up Awakening skills, Guard Gauge and HP boosts for all characters, and improvements to evading and guard canceling. Meanwhile, new DLC character Spectre has also been revealed, though there’s no word on when she will be coming to the game.
Additionally, a Nintendo Switch version of the fighter has also been announced, with a launch scheduled for Spring 2023.
In our review of DNF Duel, we awarded it a score of 8/10, saying, “DNF Duel’s approachable take on the genre might hold it back for some, but will likely hit the sweet spot for many newcomers and mid-level players.” Read the full review through here.
DNF Duel is currently available on PS5, PS4, and PC.
