Dragon Quest 11 PC Version Will Support Native 4K

Multiple options and settings will be available to players as well.

Square Enix has been publicly trying to improve the PC versions of its Japanese games, after some rather poor ports and showings such as last year’s NieR Automata. The upcoming Dragon Quest 11 will be a part of Square’s initiative to put its best foot forward, as far as PC versions of its games go.

Speaking with US Gamer, Assistant Producer Hikari Kubota discussed the PC version of the game, noting that Square Enix had learned from the struggles of the PC version of NieR Automata, and that Dragon Quest 11’s PC version wouldn’t be a straight port. He also confirmed that the PC version of the game will end up supporting native 4K resolution, and added that a variety of settings and options, of the kind that PC players have come to expect from their games, will be offered.

This is, ultimately, good news, as it increases the chances of Dragon Quest 11 being successful on PC, and therefore, overall in the west. The game is due out this September on PS4 and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version planned for a much later release.
