After reports emerged about reveal on April 30th, Electronic Arts announced that EA Sports UFC 6 is indeed real and will release on July 19th. Developed on Frostbite Engine, it’s coming to Xbox Series X/S and PS5 with no sign of the alleged PC version.
Instead, the publisher revealed the Standard and Ultimate Editions, including their respective cover stars – Alex Pereira for the former, Max Holloway for the latter. The base game costs $69.99 with three fighter skins in the Iconic Moments Bundle provided as a bonus for pre-ordering.
The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and includes the same benefits while also throwing in a Fighter Pass that adds two new fighters at launch, and six more at later dates. There’s also an Expansion Pass, which includes “two fully-loaded expansions” launching this Winter and in Summer 2027, which will add, among other things, a new mode.
If that wasn’t enough, you also get the VIP Pass with five skins, three VIP emojis, progress boosts and six VIP cosmetics alongside two fighter skins and 500 UFC points in the Rivalry Bundle. Of course, pre-ordering will also provide seven days of early access.
Gameplay details are sparse, but Electronic Arts promised “evolved striking and motion systems” alongside new modes for “immersive storytelling that makes every fight feel personal.” Stay tuned for more details on EA Sports UFC 6 en route to its release.
