EA Will Release 7 Switch Games in the Next 12 Months

EA is looking to (finally) ramp up support for Nintendo's hybrid.

EA’s lacking support for the Switch has been hot topic of debate for a while now, but it seems the publisher is looking to make improvements on that front in the coming months. It has been making statements that have suggested that of late, and during the recent EA Play show, the company confirmed that it will be bringing 7 games to the Nintendo Switch in the coming 12 months.

We already know about few of these. One is, as EA said while making this statement, Burnout Paradise Remasteredwhile another is Apex Legends, which comes to the Switch this Fall. Lost in Random, announced yesterday and coming in 2021, will also release for Switch. Meanwhile, FIFA 21 will also be releasing on the system (even though it’ll just be another Legacy Edition release once again). Beyond that, what the other three will be is anyone’s best guess right now.

Reports have been constantly talking about a remastered release of the Mass Effect trilogy, and suggesting that though it will not release for the Switch at first, it will eventually come to the platform. Might that be one of the remaining three games? We certainly hope so. Either way, hopefully this is a sign of relatively better support for the Switch from EA in the future- though that hasn’t been a very high bar up until now.
