With Elden Ring just a few months away from launch, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have started revealing plenty of new details on the game. We were recently treated to a roughly 20 minute-long deep dive of the game, while the Collector’s Edition has now also been officially unveiled. That Collector’s Edition, in fact, may also have confirmed some more new details that haven’t yet been officially confirmed.
The listings for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Elden Ring’s Collector’s Edition on GameStop claim that players on the new consoles will be able to prioritize between resolution and performance, with a Graphics Mode enabling 4K resolution and a Performance Mode allowing for 60 FPS gameplay. Bandai Namco and FromSoftware are yet to confirm this, but given how standard this has become in the industry, it’s highly likely that Elden Ring will indeed feature options for the two modes. If it does, it should be interesting to see how it handles things on the Xbox Series S, which doesn’t allow for 4K resolution.
Elden Ring was recently delayed, and is now set to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 25, 2022. Ahead of that, number of players will also get the chance to dive into a closed network test later this month. Read more on that through here.
