The number of titles that support the Xbox One X continues to grow and even if there’s no official patch per say, the console is capable of boosting a game’s frame rate and resolution on its own. Still, there’s no denying that a game running at the same graphics settings and resolution on the Xbox One X provides a significant boost to performance compared to the base Xbox One as well.
GamingBolt spoke to Rockfish Games CEO Michael Schade, whose studio brought us the rogue-lite title Everspace on the Xbox One and asked how much faster the Xbox One X was in direct comparison. Schade responded that, “We can’t give exact values on the Xbox One X, but with the same graphics settings and resolution we get a much higher frame rate compared to the Xbox One. This enables us to increase the graphics as well as the resolution and still have a higher frame rate than on Xbox One.”
Schade also made sure to note that, “We also seem to be getting slightly better results compared to the PlayStation 4 Pro.” He didn’t provide exact details on this but it is quite similar to how other developers are also benefiting from the Xbox One X.
The Xbox One X is currently available worldwide for $499 and has been doing pretty good business according to Microsoft. What are your thoughts on the console? Let us know below and stay tuned for our full interview soon.
