Fallout 4 Earns $100 Million in Three Days Via Digital Sales

About 1.87 million copies sold digitally across all platforms.

Bethesda’s Fallout 4 is insanely popular, both digitally and through retail. According to SuperData (via Games Industry International), the open world FPS/RPG managed to sell 1.87 million copies digitally resulting in $100 million within three days of its launch.

That’s not bad when you consider the game shipped 12 million copies to retail within the first day of release. About 1.2 million users bought the game through Steam while the remaining picked it up through the Xbox Marketplace and PlayStation Store.

In the UK, Fallout 4 has seen the best launch week in the series till date, generating 213 percent higher sales than previous record holder Fallout: New Vegas. It’s also the third biggest launch in the UK for 2015.

This is despite the fact that Fallout 4 has struggled with its fair share of glitches and game-breaking bugs. What are your thoughts on the game’s success thus far? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
