Bethesda Softworks has announced that Fallout 4‘s modding and Creation Kit are now in open beta on PC. It’s also shared details on some of the cooler features of the same and how it’s making things more accessible for fans.
When adding mods on PC, it’s necessary to install a client like Nexus Mods Manager to properly, well, manage everything you’re running. In Fallout 4, players will be able to browse, select and install mods from within the game itself.
In order to select mods on Steam, you’ll have to go to Fallout 4 in your Library, right click and select Settings, then betas and eventually an update will appear to let you try it out. Check out the Creation Kit wiki for other details. You can download the modding toolset for free through the Bethesda.net launcher.
Xbox One players also won’t have to wait for mods – they’ll be coming to the console in May while PS4 players will receive the same in June.
