After a lot of wrangling, the PS4 version of Fallout 4 will have mods for it after all. The PS4 version of the Skyrim remaster already has them. Sure, the PS4 versions of these games will have a lot of limitations imposed upon just how mods will work on them, but at least it’s something.
But there are still those who are hoping for Bethesda to offer the full modding experience on PS4 for their games- something that, it seems, Pete Hines, VP of Bethesda, simply cannot commit to. “We did that already,” he said in tweet. “It wasn’t approved. Whether it will change in the future, I don’t know. It isn’t up to me.”
That said, he did promise that Bethesda would continue to push towards having mods be as uniform on all platforms as possible. “We will continue to push to have mods work the same on all platforms,” he said.
Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Special Edition are both available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version of the latter also being heavily hinted at.
