Fallout 4 Sells 500,000 Units in UK

Generates £24 million in revenue for Bethesda.

After releasing last week in the UK, Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 4 managed to debut at the top of the sales charts and experienced one of the biggest openings of 2015 in the territory. Gfk Chart-Track has since revealed (via MCV) that the open world FPS/RPG has sold 500,000 units since release.

The crazy thing is that this number only includes retail sales across Fallout 4’s platforms, thus when looking at digital sales, the actual sales number could be much higher. As it stands, Fallout 4 is the 18th fastest selling game of all time in the UK with Bethesda earning £24 million in revenue.

Bethesda recently announced that it had shipped a whopping 12 million units of Fallout 4 on launch day while SuperData reported 1.87 million units sold digitally across Steam, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. One thing is for sure – the hype train for Fallout 4 cannot be stopped.
