Fallout 4 Survival Mode Details Data-Mined from Game Files

Adrenaline, Fatigue, no quicksaves and more to come.

Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 4 will be receiving a major update in the form of Survival mode within the coming weeks but we haven’t gotten the best indicator of what it will actually be. That is, until a Reddit user went through the game’s files and found descriptions for the upcoming mode.

These include disabling quicksaving and manual saving, an Adrenaline perk which increases damage as you rack up kills overtime, Fatigue and how it relates to sickness and starvation and disabling fast travel. Interestingly, while Bethesda confirmed this information to be correct, it’s still messing around with the overall settings. Don’t be surprised if the final iteration of Survival mode turns out to be something even more dastardly.

Currently, a beta patch for Fallout 4 is available on Steam which grants more settlement items while fixing a ton of bugs. Players can also look forward to the Automatron DLC in March, official mod tools and Wasteland Workshop DLC in April and the Far Harbor DLC in May.
