Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 4 has recently received its first paid DLC with Automatron but there’s going to be more to look forward to, for PC users at least. After teasing Survival Mode entering Steam beta “soon”, the developer’s official Twitter has finally dated the same.
“#Fallout4 Survival mode overhaul should be in Steam beta next week. #PleaseStandBy”
Fallout 4 owners can essentially choose to opt-in for the beta when it goes live next week. Details for the new Survival Mode have been data-mined before – with new features like Fatigue affecting your overall health, no autosaving or fast travel and an Adrenaline Perk that grants more damage as you kill enemies in succession. Bethesda has teased that there could be other tweaks in store as well and we’ll find out exactly what next week.
Survival Mode will officially release for all platforms when it’s received sufficient testing on Steam. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
