Fallout 4’s Far Harbor has a release date of May 19th but before that, console players will finally get their hands on Survival Mode. It released on Steam for PC last week but will be heading to PS4 and Xbox One on May 6th according to Bethesda on Twitter.
Survival Mode is an interesting revamp of the base experience, disabling manual saving and fast travel while adding an Adrenaline perk that increases damage dealt as you rack up kills over a period of time. Players also have to manage factors like fatigue and sickness, taking time to sleep at places to save their progress and maintain their health.
In beta since March, Survival Mode has gone through a number of different changes, fixes and so on. It will launch alongside patch 1.5 for consoles on Friday. With mods coming to Xbox One in May and PS4 in June, Fallout 4 fans will have plenty to do in the game for months to come.
