Fallout 4 Survival Mode Receives New Feature

Less sleep required as well, along with other changes.

Fallout 4‘s Survival Mode has received a new update on PC. It’s currently in beta on Steam and along with a new feature, players can look forward to a few changes and fixes.

The new feature in question are the icons for thirst, sleep, hunger and disease changing colours depending on one’s status. Meanwhile, some of the changes include less food and drink being required for proper upkeep; required sleep cycle being lowered from 24 to 14 hour days; less chance of getting diseased; fusion cores weighing more while one’s carrying capacity is also lowered; and a quest target appearing over your companion if they go down.

Issues like still being hungry or parched when hunger and thirst were satisfied or the Adrenaline effect persisting after difficulty has been changed have been fixed.

Fallout 4 will be receiving a new DLC on April 12th with Wasteland Workshop and official mod tools in the coming weeks. There’s also Far Harbor in May for a massive new zone and story quests. Stay tuned for more updates on Survival Mode though, especially on when it will come to PS4 and Xbox One.
