Fallout 4 Won’t Have Demo Before Launch

Bethesda's Pete Hines briefly explains why.

Bethesda’s Fallout 4 is less than two weeks away from release and the wait now seems even more intense than ever. In the wake of this, Bethesda won’t be doing us any favours by releasing a demo in the meantime.

According to VP and boss of public relations and marketing Pete Hines on Twitter, there’s a very good reason why the game doesn’t have a demo. “No demo. Not possible to cut up the game into a small piece.”

On the one hand we agree – games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Batman: Arkham Knight and even every Assassin’s Creed game in the past several years has never offered a demo prior to release. It would be fairly difficult to offer a realistic account of what’s possible in such sprawling worlds with only a demo.

On the other hand, we want Fallout 4, in some form, now. It’ll be out on November 10th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments below.
