Far Cry 5 Co-Op Only Lets Host Player Keep Progress – Report

Co-op won't grant the same progress to both players.

Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 is still a ways off from release but it’s hit somewhat of a snag en route. According to a new video from Gamestar, it seems that the game’s co-op mode, which allows both players to experience the entire story, won’t let the second player keep progress. This means that you can experience the whole story by joining a friend’s game but still have to replay the same missions to make any progress on your side.

According to Gamestar, this information was given at E3 2017 itself. Ubisoft hasn’t made an official announcement about the same but this is already being looked at negatively. Of course, it could be that Ubisoft works on a way to allow the second player to keep their progress but more information is required at this point.

Far Cry 5 will release on February 27th 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC so there’s plenty of time to hammer out any issues. What are your thoughts on co-op granting progress to only one player? Let us know in the comments.
