Pre-loading goes live later today.

Ubisoft has announced a free weekend for Far Cry 5 on PC, starting from tomorrow till May 31st. It’s available to pre-load on Uplay from 1 PM EDT onwards. Along with the full base game, players can also partake in co-op with other owners.

Taking place in Hope County, Far Cry 5 sees players taking on the enigmatic Joseph Seed and his cult, including various lieutenants (aka Seeds). You’ll need to liberate each region from a Seed to eventually take on Joseph in a final confrontation. Far Cry 5 features the usual assortment of camps, open world activities and extensive side missions for players to embark on. For more details, check out our review here.

If you enjoy the base game, then it’s possible to pick up the Standard and Gold Edition at a 75 percent discount. The discount applies to all Far Cry games on the Ubisoft Store till June 2nd in case you need even more open world action. In the meantime, Ubisoft is rumored to be working on a brand new Far Cry title – stay tuned for more details in the coming months, especially with Ubisoft Forward happening in July.
