FIFA 16: Don’t Put Your PS4 In Rest Mode While Downloading the Closed Beta

There's a FIFA 16 closed beta?

I’m actually a bit surprised that there is such a thing as a FIFA 16 closed beta, but hey, you learn something new every day, right? Here’s something else I learned today- if you are downloading the closed beta client for FIFA 16 on your PS4, just make sure to not put your PS4 in Rest Mode, not until the download is complete anyway.

And why? Because if you do so, you risk corrupting all the data on your system. According to Product Reviews, the issue is fairly widespread. That said, it only affects those people who put their PS4 in Rest Mode after initiating the download, and then doing it before the download is done. If you, for instance, initiated the download remotely while the PS4 itself was in Rest Mode, you should be fine.

FIFA 16 will be released on September 22 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Versions of the game for the Wii, PS2, iOS, Android, Nintendo 3DS, and PS Vita will also be out, with varying degrees of availability.
