FIFA 19 Snags Official UEFA Champions League License, Reveal Trailer Released

FIFA 19 will have the official license for the most prestigious club competition in football.

This is pretty huge for FIFA fans. For years, Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer has had the upper hand over EA Sports’ games at least in one regard, that being the fact that it used to hold the license for the UEFA Champions League, the most prestigious club football competition. However, Konami’s license recently expired, and EA Sports have now grabbed the opportunity to snatch it up for themselves.

EA confirmed at their E3 press event earlier today that the upcoming FIFA 19 will include the fully licensed Champions League, Europa League, and Super Cup competitions, thanks to EA Sports now holding the licenses for UEFA competitions. These will be incorporated in The Journey as well.

An official reveal trailer for FIFA 19 was also released, which you can view below. EA also confirmed in surprising news that the full version of FIFA 18 is available for a temporary free trial right now for anyone who may want to give the game a go before deciding if they want to purchase it (or its imminent successor).

FIFA 19 launches on September 28 for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates on the game.
