Final Fantasy 14 Crosses 10 Million Registered Players

Now in the top 10 of subscriber-based MMOs through history.

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn has managed to cross 10 million registered accounts globally. This also includes free trial accounts as per the publisher and puts it in the top 10 of subscriber based MMOs throughout history.

Along with constant updates, the increase in accounts could also be attributed to Stormblood, Final Fantasy 14’s latest paid expansion which brings a ton of new content. This includes a new storyline, two new jobs, increased level cap, new raids and many other changes. Furthermore, the Moonfire Faire event is currently live with patch 4.06 which offers even more quests and enemies for players to face. Head here for full notes on the latest patch.

Of course, Square Enix has noted that free trial accounts are also included and the trial offers a healthy amount of content up to level 35 with as much playtime as the player wishes. It’s likely helped translate more free players to paid players than we realize.
