Final Fantasy 15 Delay Won’t Lead To More Collector’s Edition Units Being Made

That's a bummer.

Even though Final Fantasy 15 is now officially delayed to November 29, this extra time won’t be used to manufacture more units of the highly sought after Ultimate Collector’s Edition for the game. The Collector’s Edition had already received an extended print run, after the first allocation of 10,000 units sold out far quicker than anticipated- but it looks like this might be it. If you want one, you better have managed to get your hands on one of the ones already made and on sale.

Square Enix claim that they did look into manufacturing more units as a result of the delay, but that it turned out to be unfeasible. This does make sense, given that the delay is less than two full months, and manufacturing is a complex process.

Final Fantasy 15 is going to launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29 this year. A version for PC has been discussed, and if development on it is to begin, it will only be after the console versions have shipped.
