One of the reasons that Final Fantasy 15 was delayed from its September 30 worldwide release date was because Square Enix didn’t want to have a massive or substantial day one patch for the game, wishing for the out of the box experience to be as complete as possible for all users- including those who wouldn’t necessarily have direct access to internet to be able to download patches.
So, there is no end to the amusement I derive from the fact that the game apparently, even now after a delay, has a 7GB patch. Apparently, one of the users who was able to get the game early thanks to the broken street date posted picture of a patch being downloaded for the game, noting himself that there was supposed to be no substantial patch for the game after the delay.
If this is the case, then one has to wonder exactly what the reason for the two month delay at the last minute was. Final Fantasy 15 is out on November 29 on PS4 and Xbox One.
