Square Enix is going all-out with the release of Final Fantasy 15. Following mostly positive reviews from critics, the publisher has released a new live-action trailer with “Stand Together”, a rendition of Florence + the Machine’s “Stand by Me” as the background score.
More interestingly, the video features kids battling against a giant monster before eventually being saved by Noctis and his crew. The trailer invites you to “stand together”, which is probably a parable for the camaraderie that Noctis and his friends share in-game. Probably.
Final Fantasy 15 is out today on Xbox One and PS4 after roughly 10 years in development and at least two major revamps from its previous identity. Despite the game’s long development cycle, critics have praised it for the combat, visuals and characterization. What are your thoughts on the game based on footage that’s been released?
