Final Fantasy 15: Several Gameplay Features Will Be Tweaked, Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Teased?

Tabata discuses some much needed tweaks.

Final Fantasy XV is still on the brain of many gamers, especially following the game’s demo which granted players a short sneak peek at what they could expect to see in the game. Luckily however, the demo was also released as a means of play testing the game to get some feedback for improvements and tweaks. So just what is being tweaked?

The lock-on mechanic was considered by some to be rather useless, Hajime Tabata has said that the development staff are working on having the Lock-on mechanic track the enemy completely. In fights, some would complain that “the camera is too close”, making things a bit frantic, this is being tweaked and Tabata has said, “We may consider allowing the player to choose from different camera distances.”

In the final build, camera controls are going to be tweaked, making them “smoother” and the AI allies will “probably” be improved from the programmers end of things. The final build will also have anti-aliasing and an improved frame rate. There’s going to be more improvements made as development drags on for FFXV, like the inclusion of a map and compass, better animation of characters to reflect weapon weights, attack cancelling and a lot of bug fixes.

On an unrelated note, but still Square Enix related, YouTuber Cynical has thrown together a speculative video wherein he thinks he may have cracked the release date for Kingdom Hearts 3. Unlikely, but you never know for sure.
