Fans of the popular Dissidia Final Fantasy series might be in for some luck if they’re particularly fond of Noctis from the upcoming Final Fantasy XV. Speaking in an interview with Square Enix producer Ichiro Hazama, Koei Tecmo director Takeo Kujiraoka, and Team Ninja Head Yosuke Hayashi, Dengeki asked if Noctis will be appearing as a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy.
The three of them responded with promising words, but nothing concrete. Kujiraoka said, “We’re thinking about it, of course. He would likely use something like his ‘Phantom Swords”. Hayashi added, “There are even some among us that have been thinking about it, saying ‘if Noctis will be in it, how will he perform those warps?” Finally, Hazama said, “However, this will have to be after Final Fantasy XV releases,” He then added. “It would be a bit too much to play as a Final Fantasy XV character in arcades right after the demo.”
On another note, this November 6th-8th, Disney will be hosting another D23 Expo in Japan and Hajime Tabata has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be on show, saying, “We have some interesting things planned. There will be Kingdom Hearts III news, and various things, I think. Development on Kingdom Hearts III is going smoothly, but there will also be new announcements connected to it. As one of those new announcements, I think we should be able to announce a smartphone-specific development for the series in short order.”
