Details on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have been coming in at steady rate in recent weeks, with Square Enix doubtless looking to ramp up the anticipation surrounding the game ahead of its February release, and more new tidbits have also emerged courtesy of an interview with Final Fantasy Dream at Paris Games Week.
When asked about whether Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will have a larger range of costume options for players to choose from similar to the mobile title Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis, game director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that the sequel will have more costume options available than its predecessor, Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
“There will be more choices than in the previous game, so if you like to spend time changing the look of the characters, you’re going to have a great time,” he said.
Meanwhile, producer Yoshinori Kitase said that though Square Enix hasn’t yet given much thought to DLC for the title, players will nonetheless find some “very well hidden” optional costumes.
“At the moment, we haven’t thought about DLCs, but when it comes to costumes, there may be some that are very well hidden in FFVII Rebirth,” he said.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is due out for PS5 on February 29, 2024.
