When Square Enix announced that the first part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake would ship on two Blu-ray discs, it was assumed to have a fairly hefty file size. Sure enough, Nitomatta on Twitter revealed what seems to be the back of the Korean version’s case which indicates over 100 GB HDD space being required. Check it out below.
The developer hasn’t outright confirmed or denied the installation space required. It’s assumed that this large file size is due to uncompressed video files. But given how much bigger the game is with new side quests, activities, interactions and so on along with higher fidelity visuals, that could only be one factor.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out on April 10th for PS4. The classic opening movie, remade and updated with glorious new visuals, was recently released – check that out here. There’s still no word yet on when the demo will hit the PlayStation Network so stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
