Fire Emblem: Three Houses Debuts Jeralt, Father of the Main Protagonist

Jeralt not of Rivia joins the fray.

Nintendo continues its flash marketing of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the next installment in its ongoing fantasy RPG series. We’ve seen all the House leaders in Claude, Dimitri, and Edelgard, and now they’ve turned to the supporting players, couple of whom we’ve already been introduced to. Now, they’ve shown another one- and this one is particularly special, as he’s the main character’s father, Jeralt.

As you can see from the game’s official Twitter below, the clip shared by the developers shows a conversation between father and son at the Garreg Mach Monastery (it can also be between father and daughter, of course, as you can chose your hero’s gender). Jeralt is a hulking man who is part of the Knights of Seiros, and has rejoined the Knights at the beginning of the game’s narrative. He was once thought to be the strongest knight in the land (thanks to Twinfinite for translations). What his ultimate role is isn’t clear as of yet- whether he will simply be a support character or if we’re setting up a potential clash between father and son/daughter- or something else entirely.

We’ll find out when Fire Emblem: Three Houses releases on Nintendo Switch July 26th.
