For Honor Lost Over 50 Percent of Steam Player Base in Two Weeks

Will it follow The Division's fall?

Ubisoft’s For Honor saw an exceptional response to its beta periods bolstered by above average reviews at launch but that hasn’t stopped the game from nose-diving in just two weeks on Steam.

As per Githyp, which analyzed the player numbers from launch week till now, For Honor saw almost 46,000 players on Steam at launch. It even managed to hit the top ten most played games list. However, one week later, the player base dropped to 21,000.

Another week later, it went down to 15,000 players. Though this past Saturday saw some 17,000 players on Steam, it seems that For Honor is experiencing a drop in player base not unlike Tom Clancy’s The Division after it launched.

A drop in player base isn’t too surprising for any online title but given Ubisoft’s history with The Division – and how stubborn it was to fix critical issues until numbers dropped below 10,000 on Steam – it remains to be seen how For Honor will fare.
