For all the rhetoric about the de-emphasizing of E3 over the last few years (based mostly on more and more companies opting to not have major keynote events at E3, and major platform holders like Sony and Nintendo moving towards their own events for important announcements), this year’s E3 is looking to be the biggest one we have had in a very long time. In addition to traditional E3 players such as Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, EA, and Ubisoft, we already know that Square Enix and Bethesda will be having their own pressers.
And now, it seems like PC gaming is getting all geared up to jump in on the fun as well. It will be presented by PC Gamer and AMD, and include representatives from Blizzard, Paradox Interactive, Obsidian Entertainment, Square Enix, Cloud Imperium, Dean Hall and more.
“The PC Gaming Show embodies the spirit of innovation, openness and community that’s part of our DNA—delivered by gamers, for gamers,” said AMD corporate VP Matt Skynner. “The time is right for a PC-focused event in the week of E3 and we’re honored to be part of bringing the industry together.”
The PC Gaming Show will take place on June 16 at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. It will also be livestreamed on Twitch, meaning you should be able to catch it from home.
I am getting giddy with my excitement for this year’s E3.
