Epic Games’ Fortnite will be getting a Battle Royale mode later this month. Battle royale has been all the rage in 2017, thanks to the success of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on PC – just a few days ago, we saw Rockstar add a battle royale mode to GTA Online, as an example – and it looks like Fortnite wants in on the action too.
Epic’s battle royale mode will be called, rather unimaginatively, battle royale. It will be 100 player PvP, and will include crafting, destructibility, and all the mechanics and visual flair that Fortnite is popular for to begin with.
Epic Games released a brand new trailer to show off this battle royale mode for Fortnite. The mode itself is expected to release on September 26. Fortnite is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac, and currently costs $60 in Early Access. The game is expected to go free to play on all platforms on its final release next year.
