Fortnite Servers Going Down For Maintenance, Season 3 Begins Today

Maintenance starts at 1 AM PST though there's no word on when it ends.

Epic Games’ Fortnite will see its servers taken down for maintenance on February 22nd, 4 AM EST/1 AM PST to deploy patch v.3.0.0. Servers will be down on PS4, Xbox One and PC as Battle Royale’s matchmaking should seize by 3:35 AM EST. The timing for servers to come back online hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Along with the end of Season 2, the patch will signal the start of Season 3. This brings a new Battle Pass with new content for players to unlock including three Back Blings. You can expect patch notes to arrive soon as well.

Perhaps the biggest change with Season 3 is that the Battle Pass will now cost V-Bucks instead of real world money. V-Bucks can be purchased for $10 but they can also be earned in-game from completing various daily and weekly challenges in Save the World and Battle Royale. The Battle Pass contains 76 items overall including emotes and banners.
